##article.abstract##

The article analyzes the possibilities of formation and effective functioning of free economic zones of recreational-
tourist and military-recreational type. The assessment of the recreational and tourist sphere in the resort and
recreational areas of the Tashkent region was carried out. The recreational-tourist and military-recreational potential of
the Tashkent region is considered, the problematic aspects of their development are identified. The factors hindering the
development of recreational and tourist activities are analyzed.
