COST TYPE-DRIVEN LOGISTICS EQUILIBRIUM DECISIONS IN INTENSIVE GREEN PRODUCT SUPPLY CHAINS

Abstract

Green sustainable development drives intensive green product supply chains via new quality
productive forces. This study constructs a two-echelon supply chain game model (manufacturer-retailer) to
examine how product greenness, fixed costs, and variable costs affect equilibrium under decentralized and
centralized decisions. Findings show: (1) Profit and greenness have a U-shaped relationship; firms must sustain
green investment to overcome initial losses. (2) Demand grows slowly until greenness reaches a threshold,
then rises exponentially. (3) Variable costs impact greenness ceiling and loss duration, while fixed costs mainly
affect profitability. Enterprises should prioritize variable cost investment, especially when profits rise
